Crimson Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In rainy mountain ranges, In heathlands, and In marshes.
It is big, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is very flexible; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.

It can flourish even in standing water.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It has impressive regenerative properties.
