Burgundy Grass

This massive, burgundy grass grows up to 29 feet (8.8 meters) tall. The pleated stalks grow in extensive patches that are resilient and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, silver spikelet.

During the late autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of large grains.
