Caramel Spine Cactus

This small cactus grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The pleated stem is caramel or silver, and is covered in hundreds of flexible lime spines. The tear-shaped body is green, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of indigo and bold purple, with a bronze central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like pineapple.

The cactus's skin is thin, the lilac flesh is leathery, and the caramel sap is thin.
