Turquoisevine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 382 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in very thick, rough, yellow bark, and inside, the hard wood is gray.

The tangled mess of branches are short stubs and are covered with thick bunches of rough, large, very thin leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are either light brown or slate, with turquoise streaks.

In late summer it forms giant, dull red, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is frequently struck by lightning.
It is suitable for making paper
It is excellent at collecting and storing carbon dioxide
