Caramel Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This modest-sized tree grows up to 25 meters (82.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 451 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has a wide, straight trunk covered in rough, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is yellow.
The small bunches of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with very large amounts of rough, large, finger-like leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of orange-yellow that gradient shifts to caramel at the top.
In early spring, it produces many balls of tiny, copper blossoms with stiff, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a strong scent that smells like misty mornings.
In late summer it forms tiny, yellow, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
