Mountain Brown Moss

This brown moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is very resilient; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
