Bronze Cactus

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 55 feet (16.8 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 3 fan-like stems. Each stem is green, and is covered in large amounts of fine, bronze, hair-like spines.

It is slow growing, taking 35 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with purple petals and an olive central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 7 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. It has a strong scent that smells like new carpet.

The cactus's skin is tough, the caramel flesh is rough, and the amber sap is thin.
