Twistvine
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This modest-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 70 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has several long and flexible, twisting stems covered in thick, smooth, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.
The branches are very long and slender with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of small, perforated, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are found in crimson and orange varieties, sturdy and rough.
It produces a handful of medium-sized, dark grey flowers with wide petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like an ocean breeze. In late spring it forms largeslate, shelled seeds.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
