Blue Ocean Blossom

Shrub type: Deciduous (Sheds its leaves in winter)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 26 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous flexible, curved stems covered in fine, wrinkled, gray bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of large, circular, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are cyan on the edges and gentle green at the center, resilient and smooth.

In early spring it produces hundreds of large, vibrant blue flowers with 4 pointed petals. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like an ocean breeze.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
