Climbing Peach Blossom
Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) tall. Its red stems grow in bunches of 6 and are very thick and straight, and the large, brown leaves are spear shaped with jagged edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.
Each stem splits 5 to 8 times; a single medium-sized flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 7 cm (2.8 inches) wide, with peach petals and a yellow center. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. They are very delicate.
It has a delicate scent that smells like grass cuttings, and it has an average amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
