Coniweave

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This colossal fruit tree grows up to 75 feet (22.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 24 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, wavy trunk covered in thick, ridged, light brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is black with white speckles.

The tangled mess of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of giant, very thin leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are washed-out green and blue.

In early spring, it produces dozens of large, blue blossoms with 3 umbrella-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like lavender.

In mid-autumn it produces tiny, long, tapering fruit. The waxy copper skin is thin and inedible, and the crunchy purple flesh is sweet and syrupy. The faded red seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
