Crimson Mountain Moss

This faded blue or crimson moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On rotten logs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is average-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very resistant.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores.

It is suitable for making paper
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
