Clinging Specklebark
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This enormous shrub grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for around 20 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has dozens of narrow, straight stems covered in smooth, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.
The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of miniature, wide, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either caramel, or lilac with slate streaks, flimsy and fuzzy.
It produces a thick sheet of small, pink flowers with 3 oval-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like bleach. In early winter it forms smallblack, spiky-shelled seeds.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
