Bluefire Vine

This massive vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 977 feet (297.8 meters) and growing as high as 738 feet (224.9 meters).

It takes 34 years for the dull orange stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 4.0 feet (1.2 meters) and are hard and brittle.

The stiff, pointed, waxy leaves reach up to 3.5 feet (1.1 meters) in length. They are orange on the sides and blue at the center, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the vine produces lots of large deep blue flowers.
