Crimson Puff Grass

This short, pink-red grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very narrow and elongated stalks grow in sparse patches that are resilient and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, crimson puff.

During the mid-summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of medium-sized grains.
